Who are we?
SalsaTUDe is the Salsa club of the University of Darmstadt. Our club exists for more than 5 years and we are one of the biggest sport groups at the University with more than 250 participants in our classes each semester! We are part of the University’s sports center (Unisportzentrum = USZ), where you can register for our classes. During the first three weeks of each semester, you can visit the classes without registration. Afterwards, registration is required. However, registration is free for all university students. You will find the links to the online registration here!
The classes
Our classes take place in the S1|03 building each week on Monday starting with the Basic Step at 7:00 pm and on Wednesday starting with the Rueda beginner level at 7:30 pm . Please expect the classes to start and to end on time; even though we do latin dances, we are Germans after all! Thanks to our modular class system, you can start dancing any time of the semester and you do not need to bring a partner (but you can of course if you want to)! You can read about the class structure on monday here and on wednesday here. If you are unsure which class you should take, just come to our classes and ask a teacher, we will be glad to help!
Our teachers speak English. We have at least one Salsa class taught in English each Monday while most classes on Wednesday are taught in a mix of English, Spanish and German!
